Van Air HL Series heatless regenerative compressed air dryers require no external heat source to regenerate the adsorbent desiccant within the dryer towers. Instead of using an external heat source, the system utilizes a percentage of dry purge air to regenerate the saturated desiccant.
A full range of controls and features come standard with our HL Series regenerative compressed air dryers. On models up to 2500 SCFM, a touchpad controller includes a real-time status display, a hold feature to conserve energy and preserve system pressure, and a switching failure monitor for immediate notification of any cycle disruption as standard equipment.
Standard equipment on models HL-3000 and above include moisture load based energy saving controls such as Cycle SaverT and PLC-controlled EMCON II®. These features allow for cycles to be adjusted automatically saving wear on the equipment and energy when the air system demand fluctuates over a single of multiple shifts. Many of these features can be added to the smaller HL Series heatless regenerative air dryers as options.
Only Van Air heatless regenerative air dryers include our patented Interlock LogicT valve to protect your compressed air system from premature loss of flow or pressure. Each phase of the air drying cycle must be completed before the next cycle can begin. This is controlled pneumatically and electronically to ensure uninterrupted air flow at a constant pressure.
Price includes initial fill of desiccant and standard controller.

Lubricated Compressors
- Dryer
must be equipped with proper Van Air pre-filters. These filters must be
drained and maintained as specified. Desiccant beds should be checked periodically
and replaced if contamination has occured. Failure to do so may result in
hazardous operating conditions and will void the warranty. An after-filter
should be installed downstream of the dryer to prevent desiccant particle
migration.
Non-lubricated
Compressors - A particulate or coalescing pre-filter is recommended
to prevent pipe scale and dust from fouling the dryer. An after-filter should
be installed downstream of the dryer to prevent desiccant particle migration.
